Bukit Purmei Lor Mee is generous in portion size (even for the smaller portion), the Lor is very thick and rather flavourful, but what really spoils the entire bowl is the vinegar they serve.
I’m not a fan of this stall’s Lor Mee for their Lor is a little too thick for my liking. The vinegar lacks the sourness and the fragrance of vinegar, almost tastes diluted, which is a shame because the flavor of the Lor is actually not bad.
I would definitely recommend going for the traditional version with the thick yellow noodles than the beehoon. The traditional yellow noodles provides for more consistency in texture with each bite than the beehoon.
I would not recommend adding the black vinegar or anything else to the Lor Mee, best eaten in its original serving.
Not a place I will be dying to return to in a hurry.
